In the evening, after a beautiful wedding in Samui, what better way to celebrate than with a private samui wedding reception for all your guests? We have a number of options to let you customize your Samui Wedding reception to exactly the way you want it to be. Whether you’re looking for a romantic candlelit dinner for the two of you, or a six course banquet for over one hundred guests, we can arrange an evening for you that will be memorable for you and all your guests, and hassle-free.
Following the exchange of vows & photographs, you and your guests gather at the Beach Bar to enjoy some sunset cocktails. As the sun slips away and the festive mood is heightened, the guests make their way to the comfort of the private, air conditioned banquet room.
The room is stunningly arranged with flowers, and beautifully decorated. The tables are set with a seating arrangement chosen by the bride & groom. The service staff greet the arriving guests and begin serving drinks from the open bar.
The bride & groom make their entrance to a thunderous and joyous round of applause and accompanying music of their choice by either their own music selections on cd or ipod, or a private DJ arranged by the resort.
The meal selected by the bride and groom is then served. Guests are able to enjoy the lounge area that has been set up on the large banquet room terrace overlooking the sea between courses.
A variety of options are available for entertainment during dinner or afterwards, including live music, traditional Thai dance shows, cabaret shows, and more. After the main course is complete, the entertainment will pause long enough for the nervous groom and best man to make their heartfelt speeches to a captive audience.
After dessert the guests are invited to make their way down to the pool bar for an awe-inspiring fireworks display. After a few more drinks and a chance to stretch their legs, the Samui wedding party then returns to the banquet room to find the tables have been re-arranged, the lights dimmed and the music turned up…it’s time to dance!!!
The party continues until the wee hours until the satisfied wedding group begins to make its way back to their rooms.

Arranging legally recognized marriages in Thailand can be quite an involved process, but entirely possible. A quick explanation of the process involved looks like this:
- The Bride and Groom should first do as much research as possible, corresponding with their country's embassy here in Thailand before they arrive. Most embassy websites have all the information you’ll need in regards to getting your marriage certified here in Thailand.
- The Bride and Groom must first visit their country's embassy in Bangkok and fill out the appropriate paperwork.
- They then need to get these documents translated into Thai at a certified translators.
- Next, a trip across town to the Foreign Affairs office is required to get the translations stamped.
- You are then ready to come down to Samui. Here, we will submit your papers to the local Amphur (legal Witness). He will then bring your documents on the day of your wedding, sign off on all relevant areas and give you your Thai wedding certificate.
- Then you will need to make one more trip to the translators (in Thailand or back home) to get the Thai certificates translated into your native tongue.
- Finally, a visit to your local registry office will ensure your legal Thai marriage is recognized in your country of residence.
This process can be done yourself in Thailand in 3 to 5 days depending on your country of residence and nationality. |

| At Rocky’s, we’ve made the process simple by allowing you to spend only one night in Bangkok (depending on your nationality) and we handle the rest. Our guide will meet you at the embassy, show you all relevant documents and help you fill them out. They will take you to the certified translators and to the Foreign Affairs Office. They will send the documents down to Samui and arrange for the Amphur to be present for your ceremony. Finally, they will get the Thai certificates translated and sent to your residential address. The cost for this starts at THB 20,000. (Embassy fees additional). |

The Wedding day begins as you would like it to. Perhaps, you and you fiancé will have decided to stay traditional by not seeing each other the night before and morning of the ceremony. Or, you may simply enjoy sharing breakfast together…however you please. If you decide to get ready in separate rooms, the groom will first be greeted by our flower girls and Umbrella bearers. He will then be led to the wedding sala where the Pastor or Celebrant will be waiting. The bride will then be escorted down to meet her patiently waiting groom. The ceremony then begins with vows approved by the bride and groom and rings will be exchanged. Congratulations…you may kiss the Bride !!!
After the ceremony has completed, the popping of corks will be heard as Sparkling wine is opened and served along with specially-made canapés. If the couple has chosen to complete the legal paperwork, the Amphur will be present and witness the signing.
Following this, if the couple has chosen the photography option, the photographer will take the couple around the resort for photographs. There are several options for the wedding party of what to do after the photographs have completed including a private lunch, a snorkelling trip to one of the local islands on a charter speedboat, massage at the local spa, or free time to relax.
In the evening, there is an option for a celebration dinner for the wedding party including a private barbecue, or specially prepared menu with table settings either in the restaurant, on the beach or in our very private, air conditioned Banquet room.
The bridal suite will be made up with flowers on the bed, candles, decoratons, and Sparkling Wine.

In the Buddhist wedding, three Buddhist monks will be invited for the ceremony. The Thailand wedding ceremony begins with prayer. First, the monks chant and then bless the bride and groom by linking their heads with joined loops of Sai Mongkon. Its meaning is that individual identity of the two people but destinies are linked. The ceremony continues with the lighting of candles and incense by the bride and groom. Further chantings and blessing from the monks are made and special prayers for prosperity and good fortune are recited, followed by the cleansing ritual with light splashes of blessed water being made by the head monk. The happy couple then present an offering of thanks and acknowledgment to the monks (provided by the resort), in the form of gift hampers, food and donations. This ceremony can take place before 11am or any time in the afternoon.
After the monks have departed, the Bride and Groom will take their seats at the Lot Nam Sang (water blessing seat). Starting with the most senior representative of the wedding party, a floral Lei will be placed around the neck of the Bride & Groom. The Water blessing then commences with each guest showing their respect and offering words of congratulations to the newly wed couple. Each guest in turn will pour blessed water over the hands of the happy couple with the water being collected in a bowl of ornamentally arranged flowers. Wedding vows and rings may be exchanged at this time (if desired). Congratulations…you may kiss the Bride !!!
