Thailand stretches 1860 km north to south, giving it one of the most diverse climates in South East Asia and has land borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia and Malaysia.

Samui Island (Koh Samui) is one of the major islands of the Gulf of Siam and is a one and a half hour flight from Bangkok.

Napasai is a resort on Baan Tai beach near the town of Maenam in the north of the island, a 25 minute transfer from the airport. The hotel is a very peaceful place, where guests can rest and relax in unspoiled natural surroundings.

How to get to Napasai
Access is easy with regular flights departing from Bangkok and several ferry and jet boat companies also operate from Surat Thani.  

From Koh Samui International Airport - Exit the airport then make a left turn heading north for about half a mile. Turn left (west) at the first junction onto Route 4171 Laan Thong Road towards Bo Phut. Proceed on Laan Thong Road for about 2 miles, staying to the left as the road comes to a *T* intersection. There you will see a sign for Napasai Resort. Make a right turn heading north on route 4169 for about about 2.5 miles following hotel signs directing you through the village of Maenam, after which you will see Napasai's entrance on your right.

From Surat Thani - Take a taxi from the airport to the Surat Thani pier, then take the ferry (1.5 hour ride) from the mainland to Koh Samui pier in Nathon. From Nathon, take a taxi to the hotel (about 2.5 miles) or request in advance a Koh Samui pier to Resort transfer through Napasai's concierge.

The Lai Thai

The Lai Thai Restaurant serves Thai and international cuisine in a relaxing environment with high ceilings and stone-tiled flooring. The restaurant boasts large windows from floor to ceilings to allow 180 degree views across the resort and the ocean beyond. 

The split-level seating provides yet more choice for where to eat and what to view. 

Some of our wonderful dishes include:

• Prawn salad with avocado, fresh palm heart, mango and tomato salsa, basil oil dressing

• Seared peppered tuna fillet with crunchy lettuce, green Thai asparagus and sesame seeds

• Pan fried duck liver, with caramelized papaya and mango flavored with fresh ginger

• Roast Australian rack of lamb in herbs and cashew nut crust with eggplant compote

• Coconut mousse coated with bitter chocolate, caramelized sweet banana, and curry jelly

Beachfront Restaurant

Light and casual poolside fare are served at our Beachfront Restaurant, specializing in Thai and international dishes for lunch and dinner daily. 

Guests can enjoy both poolside and ocean views in a casual open air environment. Four outside 'salas' are tiered down the hillside as well as wonderful Thai-Style wooden structures that you can secure for a totally private dining experience for two to eight people. With cooling breezes coming up from the sea across the coconut groves its always cool here too.

Some of the dishes that have featured at the Beach Restaurant include:
 

• Crabmeat salad with fresh pomelo and mango fruits

• Bay scallops with spring salad, tomato salsa and peanut sauce

• Fillet of red snapper with olive oil, lemon and fresh Thai herbs

The Lobby Bar

An impressive selection of drinks and refreshments is offered all day and bar snacks are available during the evening.  The Lobby Bar is a casual and relaxing place to enjoy a cooling exotic drink.

We regret that children are not allowed at the bar.

Free internet access is also provided for those who need to check their email while cooling down with a tropical drink.

The Pool Bar

A casual all-day menu of snacks and light meals is offered at the Pool Bar. 

Facing the free form infinity pool this the perfect place for a cocktail before enjoying a unique Thai dining experience.

Napasai Spa

Nestled in a peaceful sanctuary, surrounded by wonderful flora, the Spa at Napasai is a sanctuary of serenity and natural beauty for those seeking to relax and restore body and mind.

The Spa offers a wide range of relaxing treatments, massages and indulgences, rooted in Thai traditional medicine, local herbs and Oriental philosophies. Its name, Ytsara, means freedom in Thai. Inspired by an Asian healing philosophy, Ytsara's holistic treatments use a combination of natural ingredients such as tropical fruits and flowers to balance physical and psychological wellbeing and Pala Energy body massage to encourage energy flow.

Guests at the Cottage Suites may indulge in these treatments in the privacy of their own rooms (some of the treatments cannot be prepared in the room).

Wellness Spa Programmed
Napasai Spa Wellness Programmed, such as the Siamese Retreat, Pure Bliss or the Tropical Adventure are a combination of Spa treatments, Spa cuisine and wellness exercises for body and mind.

The wonderful environment beckons sea and sports lovers and the fantastic Ang Thong Marine Park right on the doorstep.

Koh Samui has the gentlest pace, but its jungles and beaches offer every activity. An excellent golf course is on your doorstep and an exhilarating array of sporting activities beckon, from snorkeling, scuba diving, sea - canoeing and fishing, to mountain biking and jungle trekking.  Napasai offers a full equipped fitness centre which faces the newly created Napasai orchid farm. Hidden coves and waterfalls are also dotted around the island, waiting for exploration.

Swimming Pools

Napasai features a beautiful horizon edge freshwater pool that appears to flow onto the turquoise sea and is surrounded by stylish and comfortable sun beds and umbrellas for ultimate relaxation and serenity.

The pool is open 24 hours, 7 days a week and is 56 x 12 meters in size. A children's pool is also available - maximum depth is 30 centimeters.

Each Villa also has its own private oceanfront pool

Tennis

For the tennis enthusiast two hard surface tennis courts are available at Napasai.

The courts are open between 06:00am and 23:00pm

To explore the island you can catch a local songthaew (truck with two rows of seats in the back) or hire a motorcycle. Discover forested peaks that rise past 600 meters, dramatic tropical jungle waterfalls, secluded beaches and turquoise coves.

Deep Sea Fishing
Deep sea fishing includes a captain and crew to sail the boat, plus all equipment, food and drinks for the excursion. Maximum 8 passengers, prices are available on request.

Boating Excursions
Climb aboard a private boat to explore the nearby islands. Snorkeling and scuba diving equipment is provided.

Golf at Santiburi Golf Club
Santiburi Golf Club is located a mile from the resort. This 18-hole course is considered one of the most challenging in Thailand with spectacular views of the ocean from its hilltop vantage points. Fees include a caddy and golf cart. Golf equipment is available for rent and golf lessons are available from a golf pro.  

Jungle Adventure
Namuang jungle trips are based on the south of the island close to the namuang one waterfall. Guided elephant treks through the island's tropical forests are featured. Treks can last 15 minutes, half an hour, one hour or half a day. The half-day Samui jungle adventure includes time spent feeding and getting to know your elephant and a trek along the river to the spectacular namuang waterfall.
